Hello Naresh Sir, I am filling RAS 2010 form & got a doubt regarding Registration of marriage (Col. 18 in the form). I dont have a marriage certificate what option should I fill, Yes or No? What will be the repurcusions of filling No or leaving the col. blank. Please reply immediately.

sir, i m preparing for ras exam and basically i m from engineering background , sir can u tell me that the paper will be in english medium or in hindi medium because it is not mentioned in registration form

@ shweta and Suthar : look around Tonk phatak area and chaura rasta. Garg book depot in barkat nagar is also worth visiting as sometime he can arrange prev papers but remember from last three times RPSC is not providing mains paper so they are all based on memory retention.

hello ,I want to know that what are the strength and weaknesses of ELECTRICAL ENGG. as a subject in RAS pre as well as mains ?Is this a scoring subject?what about scaling in this subject?
Is there any chance to get selected in mains Exam with the subjects of likes Electrical & Physics?
I rarely find any aspirant who prepare for RAS with the Physics as an optional subjects. is it very hard or less scoring or some scaling issue ? plz clarify if possible..

@varsha : you can easily get prev yr papers in jaipur specially prel papers. zoology is going good in prev ras exams and i know some ppl get good ranks with this optional despite being uncommon subject.
@ Ankur : no single book is sufficient specially for prel papers so get a good mix of books bcoz sometime paper from single book but no one knows which book nd that happens only sometome so better do exhaustive study and know something of everything for prel.
@ Sharmaji : Physics students are very common in RAS like zoology and they also score well in that so don't worry but yeah u have to excel among ur peers in the subject.

can you send RAS commerce preliminary previous year question papers in english? (esp. 2007, 1999, 2003)not available anywhere.

@ Veena : there are no limit to take RAS exm so one can take it till his/her age permits.
In IAS for gen 4 attempts and for OBC 7 attempts and for SC/ST no limit of attempt so they can take till their age permits.
hiiiii.....me shankar lal meena want to appear in RAS exam in 2011.at present m in merchant navy doing as a 2nd officer.plz tell me abt the subjects in which i cn go further without frustation to complete ma aim.i hav degree of BSc maritime science.is there any prb in this degree?
@ S L Meena : its perfectly alright with your degree but I fear that its not there in optional list so u have to opt some other optional. look at syl and plan accordingly as per ur interests
i am other state student .i gave 2010 rpsc.my score is geo 170,gs-160.what do you think friend
160 in GS without negative marking or is it after taking into consideration of negative marking, if later is true that is too good score for GS. and with 170 in Geo who can stop u dear :)

* General category: 230-235
* General Women: 205-210
* OBC: 220-225
* OBC Women: 200-205

It has come to notice in some papers that RAS prelims paper was leaked, one such paper was daily news & ajmer edition papers, and police are investigating the matter, as such the preliminary examination will be taken again in January, as per sources.Decision is being taken by RPSC in this regard.

What about Economics as a Subject in RAS . what are odds of this subject . ALthough I am not from Commerce side but still I wish to take this subject . Can anyone through some light on Pros & cons of this subject ?

@ Brijraj Singh : Eco : Pros : Scientific subject can score good if u r right secondly help u get in GS.
Cons : can be lethal if don't have eco background. Need help in preparing. For IAS u have to compete with DSE students
@ D K Jangid : Min age 21 yrs, max 35 yrs;
regarding change in exam pattern so we have to wait for that;
No coaching is good enough in Jaipur, can look into Utkarsh Jodhpur
@ Isha : there may be change in RAS pattern but if the prev trend continue then you have to opt one opt in Prel and two Opt in Mains. Subjects selection depends on many factors.

Dear Naresh ji , I have been following this blog for almost a year n find it quite vaueable .But , at the same time I want to make a humble request that on this forum we should discuss more on how to crack RAS examination , good strategies to adopt , books n study material to refer. In this regards , those who have cleared the exam should come forward n guide the student fraternity.
