Facebook under Phishing attack
On Thursday unidentified hackers get access to many facebook profiles. 200 million strong facebook community users were tricked into clicking on links posted from accounts that had been taken over by the hackers and when they enter username and password in facebook lookalike webpage their password and thus profile were compromised and hackers have access to their profile and using that they send message to all friends of that particular person in turn spreading the menance. Facebook officials accepted the fact and according to them all references to the fake domains – which include www.151.im, www.121.im and www.123.im – have been deleted from the website. Its not the first time that facebook is under attack, earlier in March Facebook suffered a spate of security breaches, many originating from bogus applications that contained malicious software. Facebook users were also affected by a variant of the Koobface virus, a worm that first appeared in December last year.
