Today on 26th June 2008, UPSC has declared the revised list of Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2007. New UPSC List has 638 candidates with 192 reserve list, whereas earlier it has 734 candidates in the final list.
In the revised list:
- No ranks upto 540 have been touched.
- OBC from 541 onward are out of the list, similarly in SC category candidates beyond 673 are out of the list.
- Bottom 96 reserved candidates have been removed there by creating 96 vacancies. The breakup is 76 OBC 19 SC and 1 ST, these 96 reserved candidates will be part of 192 Reserve List.
The new list is provisional and is subject to the final outcome of the Special Leave Petitions No. 13571-72/2008 and judgment/direction of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the matter.
