Scaling formula adopted by RPSC :
your marks = M+(X-m)S/s
M = the overall mean of the obtained marks
X = Raw marks obtained
m = mean of the particular subject
S = standard deviation of all the marks obtained
s = standard deviation of the particular subject

This is just a tool of RPSC to select or to reject the candidates as no one can verify the variables of this formula.Exept the value of 'X' no other variable can be determined by any aspirant. Besides this formula is said to be adopted from Mr. Nagarajan's book on stastics.To any body's surprise Mr.Nagarajan himself has filled affidevit in RHC that this not the exact formula developed by him or adopted by UPSC.
